Hazel Miller Foundation Empowers Graphite Community Collaboration Project for 2025
Together, Building an Inclusive and Creative Edmonds
We are thrilled to announce that the Hazel Miller Foundation will be supporting our Graphite Community Collaboration project for 2025! This generous grant is pivotal to our organization's ongoing work, enabling us to further our mission: to empower adult artists with disabilities by providing high-quality art classes tailored to their unique talents and needs and to foster a truly inclusive local arts community here in Edmonds.
With the Foundation’s support, we continue our monthly, free community arts programs, intentionally designed to be welcoming and accessible. These sessions feature professional artists who guide participants through hands-on instruction, nurturing the artistic growth and creative confidence of adults with developmental disabilities. Our classes are more than just lessons—they are vibrant workshops where new techniques are explored, and personal expression is celebrated.
But the impact goes far beyond the classroom. By inviting local artists and volunteers to join these programs, we are sparking a dynamic cross-pollination of ideas and skills. This collaboration helps our participants build artistic abilities and forges meaningful friendships, weaving individuals with disabilities more deeply into the fabric of the Edmonds arts scene. The result is a growing community of artists and allies, learning from one another and breaking down barriers together.
A vital part of our vision is to create beautiful, skill-building art that has the power to inspire and to sustain. Many of the works produced in our programs are featured in fundraising events, helping to ensure the longevity and growth of these essential programs. Each piece tells a story of creativity, perseverance, and inclusion, and every fundraiser supports future opportunities for our artists to shine.
The Hazel Miller Foundation’s partnership is not just a grant; it’s an investment in a more vibrant, inclusive, and connected Edmonds. With their support, we are building a community where everyone is welcome to create, collaborate, and celebrate the power of art.
Thank you, Hazel Miller Foundation, for believing in our mission and in the artists who are transforming our community, one brushstroke at a time.
