Art, Connection, and Community

Art For All helps adults with developmental disabilities create art, build friendships, and share their talents with the wider community.

Based in the greater Puget Sound area, we offer visual arts, theatre, cultural activities, and wellness programs. Our small-group classes provide support for different abilities and ways of communicating, with room for each participant’s interests and creative voice.

Creativity That Connects Us

Our programs connect creative learning with opportunities to take part in community life. Participants create alongside instructors, volunteers, and fellow artists, then share their work through gallery exhibits, art walks, festivals, and public performances.

Wellness classes and social activities offer additional ways to spend time together, practice healthy habits, and build relationships. Across our programs, we value adults with disabilities as artists, performers, friends, and contributors to their communities.

How We Began

Art For All began in 2017 with a goal of connecting artists with disabilities to the local arts community. We became a nonprofit in 2022 and have continued to grow through partnerships with arts venues, community organizations, instructors, and volunteers.

Our team brings experience in the arts, recreation, and health care, along with longstanding relationships with adults with disabilities and their families.

Our Approach

  • Support for individual creativity. Small-group classes offer guidance for different abilities and communication styles, while leaving room for each person’s interests and creative choices.

  • Connection through shared experiences. Art, theater, wellness, and social activities bring people together to create, practice skills, and build friendships.

  • A place in the wider arts community. Gallery exhibits, festivals, and public performances give participants opportunities to share their work and contribute to local cultural life.
